Donald Brobst, MD

Dr. Donald Brobst received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois before completing medical school at UACJ, and a Family Practice residency at Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago. He specializes in Family Practice, Urgent Care, Industrial Medicine, and Addiction Medicine. As an expert in Industrial Medicine, he worked closely with Hyundai as their Medical Director for their first seven years of operation, the KIA corporation in Georgia for their automotive plant startup, and the Lear Corporation, a supplier of parts for Hyundai. He is currently on courtesy staff at Brookwood Hospital, Birmingham. 

Dr. Brobst has been the Medical Director of the state of Alabama Department of Finance, Division of Risk Management for ten years, and the Medical Director for the City of Hoover Fire Department for twenty-six years. He is a certified examiner for the FMCSA and a contributor to the writing of the AMA Guides for Permanent Partial Disability. In addition, he has a passion for writing, and his Novels and other works can be found on Amazon and Books-A-Million. 

Since 2009 Dr. Brobst has dedicated much of his free time establishing medical clinics to help the poor and needy in China, Africa, and the Middle East. The remainder of his time he spends with his three children and nine grandchildren. He has been practicing medicine with Urgent Care South since 2015.
