What can I expect during physical exams?

During physical exams at Primary & Urgent Care South, a friendly specialist checks your body weight, body mass index (BMI), temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. They assess growth and development during childhood physical exams. 

Your provider reviews your medical history, symptoms, medications, lifestyle habits, and more. They complete a physical exam and offer pelvic exams in women or prostate exams in men, if needed, to evaluate overall health. 

If you need hearing or vision screenings, drug testing, blood tests, heart function tests, or on-site digital X-rays, the Primary & Urgent Care South specialists complete such tests.

If you’re a candidate for treatment, your options may include vaccines, watchful waiting, medication prescriptions, injury care, or joint injections. Primary & Urgent Care South also provides specialist referrals. 

What happens after physical exams?

After a physical exam, your Primary & Urgent Care South provider fills out any required physical exam forms and a copy for your records. You might need a physical exam yearly or every two years in the case of a DOT exam, though every patient has different needs.
